Training

P.I.P.E. provides media support for affiliated unions and contractors, through the development and distribution of audio and videotapes for training, marketing, education, and public relations. P.I.P.E. supports extensive training programs for apprentice and journeyman crafts persons, in order to provide participating contractors with thoroughly competent workers. All P.I.P.E. certified journeymen undergo a rigorous, 5 year apprenticeship program.

Construction is considered one of the nation’s most dangerous occupations. But P.I.P.E. Journeymen have a knowledge and awareness of construction safety methods, which results in lower insurance costs and fewer lost time accidents.
